Day 3: The two guiding stories

The English mythologist Martin Shaw tells two illuminating stories: the Handless Maiden and the Lindworm. In the first video, I tell the Handless Maiden story on stage (though you can read the full the story in the book Smokehole). In the second video, you can hear Martin Shaw tell the Lindworm.

These two stories are foundational, guiding stories for our work together. In nearly every community call, language from these stories is referenced. They are stories that hold us together and orient us in the same direction.
